O Rio Grande do Norte vai contar com seis novas unidades do Centro Federal de Educação Tecnológica (Cefet) em Apodi, Caicó, João Câmara, Macau, Pau dos Ferros e Santa Cruz. A ordem de serviço para início das obras foi assinada na manhã desta segunda-feira (25), representando investimento de R$ 21 milhões.
Cada nova unidade contará com 10 salas de aulas, 10 laboratórios, biblioteca, 30 salas administrativas/apoio ao ensino, auditório, lanchonete/refeitório, setor de saúde, setor de manutenção, banheiros e construções complementares. A expectativa é de que sejam atendidos 1.500 estudantes.
Além de estas unidades, irão se somar 20 escolas de ensino profissionalizante que o Governo do Estado irá construir até 2010 em cidades-pólo. “Iremos construir dez escolas e outras dez serão adaptadas em prédios já existentes”, afirma a governadora Wilma de Faria.
